Thermal Red Dot

As one of only two manufacturers (alongside INFITEC) to offer thermal red dot sights, FORESEEN OPTICS remains committed to our philosophy: serving brand clients and refining products based on a deep understanding of their consumer needs. Thermal red dot sights simplify previously complex scenarios that required a head-mounted night vision device plus night-vision mode red dot. This is not a replacement, but a new solution.

Positioning: Ultra-light “mini thermal viewer / night-use red dot,” prioritizing detection efficiency, quick targeting, and portability.

Benchmark strategy: While matching Fast Mini in observation performance, structural design, and core functions, it adds automatic recording for replay, evidence preservation, sharing, and capturing highlights.

Roadmap: Based on current products, we will release 384×288 and larger 19mm lens models to enhance mid-range detection and recognition.

Technical challenges: Thermal red dot sights integrate optics, thermal imaging, electronics, and software, making development highly complex. One major challenge is controlling the size: all components, including the sensor, display/projector, battery, and red dot optics, must fit into a compact sight, requiring highly integrated design. Heat dissipation is also critical, as thermal sensors and processing units generate heat, and the design must ensure that long-term operation does not affect accuracy or damage components. Calibration and alignment are essential, because the thermal image and the red dot must remain co-axial and stable, which involves precise optical-mechanical adjustment and digital calibration algorithms. With the addition of digital imaging, the device must also withstand recoil and vibration to prevent electronic components from shifting or losing zero. Power management is another key difficulty, as the limited battery must still provide sufficient runtime; we design for a typical hunting session of about five hours. Finally, the user interface, including mode switch buttons and menu displays, needs to strike a balance between simplicity and functionality to allow fast and intuitive operation in the field.

Why develop thermal pistol red dots with FORESEEN OPTICS?

FORESEEN expands traditional optical sight capabilities with digital imaging technology. Our teams of optical and electronic engineers integrate infrared sensors, OLED micro-displays, and image processing circuits with the red dot optical system. Our deep understanding of red dot products ensures that even with new technology integration, traditional user expectations—such as zero accuracy and reliability—are maintained. Our craftsmanship enables coaxial infrared and visible-light optical paths, solving alignment between thermal imaging and the red dot. We also develop dedicated software algorithms, providing intuitive thermal mode switching, brightness adjustment, and contour highlighting.

Most importantly, we understand B2B client requirements for reliability in cutting-edge products. Each unit undergoes rigorous environmental testing (high/low temperature, shock, vibration, electromagnetic compatibility) and military-standard life testing, ensuring every product delivered meets strict quality standards.

FORESEEN is ready to collaborate with partners exploring next-generation optics. We provide a mature prototype, while brand clients can integrate feedback from their consumer base for further software and hardware innovations. This is a highly engaging and meaningful process. FORESEEN OPTICS offers one-stop service from concept to mass production, jointly innovating in the red dot sight field.
